Adam Petela is the Principal of Local Design Studio. Adam grew up in the Lower Hudson Valley and has been living in Troy, NY for over 16 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Binghamton University and a Master of Architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he has continued as an educator and studio critic.

Adam has 12+ years of architecture and design experience in New York's Capital Region. Completed projects range from minor residential additions to 15,000 sqft entertainment venues.

Adam has been an integral team member on award-winning projects. Accolades include a New York State Historic Preservation award, a local Chamber of Commerce award for design excellence, and recognition from the American Institute of Architects.
